Loaded Lemons!

I was introduced to drinking lemon water by my mindfulness coach a couple of years ago, when I was struggling to stop drinking tea and coffee. Ever since I have drunk it religiously. I was advised to drink it warm rather than hot or cold, first thing in the morning, for the best detox affects. And without going into too much detail, I did find myself in the toilet more often after drinking warm lemon water.


Lemons are loaded with awesome health benefits.

Alkaline – Lemon, once consumed becomes alkaline there are several benefits of this. Firstly, the more alkaline your body is the healthier you become and it has been shown that an alkaline diet can help you to lose weight quickly.

Pectin Fibre – Lemons are rich in pectin fibre which limits hunger pangs, which in turn will help you to lose or maintain your weight.

Vitamin C to boost your immune system – As well as the benefits to skin. Vitamin C also plays many important roles in your body. One to name is fighting off bacterial and viral infections. If you do catch cold, it can also help shorten the duration of the illness. Don’t just use lemon water once you have a cold, and finish when it’s gone. Make lemon water a part of your every-day diet, to reap the most rewards.

Aid digestion and detoxification – Lemon juice contains citric acid. Citric acid helps with the process of digestion and production of digestive juices. Lemon juice is also known to aid your liver in flushing out toxins. If you suffer with bloating and gas, lemon water can also help in reducing these uncomfortable symptoms.

Anti-Aging and Glowing Skin – By drinking lemon water, you are helping to keep your skin glowing and slow down the aging process. Why? Because lemons are full of antioxidants that fight free radicals keeping your skin looking fab.

Vitamin C also helps your body produce collagen which is important for keeping skin young looking by reducing fine lines and wrinkles and keeping it looking healthy. (How much do you pay for a topical cream to do this?)

As well as lemon water being super refreshing, it is by far the best way to start your day.
